Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president-elect of Ghanaian joined his Dr. Mahamoud Bawumia, the vice president-elect to worship at the Abossey Okai Central Mosque in a special thanksgiving service in Accra.
Nana Addo and Bawumia were joined by the general population of the gathering which incorporated Women’s Organizer, Nafisa Otiko Djaba; previous Ministers of Trade under Kufour Administration, Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku and Alan Kyerematen.
The prayer sessions at the mosque was a part of the New Patriotic Party’s thanksgiving tour. Nana Addo has held a special thanksgiving the Sunday after December 7th at the Ridge Church, also in Accra.
Likewise in participation were a senior of the gathering, T.K. Tedam; Ag. General Secretary, Jonh Boadu and previous Housing Minister and recently chose Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina Constituency Boniface Abubakar Saddique.
The president-elect and his entourage met a warm welcome from the National Chief Imam Sheikh Nuhu Shaributu. Imam Shaributu led the visiting party in the usual Friday Jumaah prayers.
After the prayers Nana Addo called for support of every Ghanaian to enable him to deliver his promises to the people.
Nana Addo was declared winner of the December 7th elections in a historic win for the NPP after he beat the incumbent President John Dramani Mahama with over a million votes.
